Activities with Riri
My weeks don’t always look this eventful. Typically, I’m either with friends or I’m at home doing my thing, like I am right now as I type. I came up to Denton to visit my friends I made in college. Reham took me to a d4vd concert, which by the way, ten out of ten. *Chef’s kiss*. The following day, she took me to this cute ramen place called Kyuramen. Our table was engraved into the wall in the shape of a honeycomb. That sounds so confusing and I’m mad I didn’t get pictures for you. But thanks to Google images, you can search it up if you please.
The day following that following, we went to the botanical garden. It was gorgeous and I got to feed squirrels. We brought our books and had a little reading session on a patch of grass that was nice and secluded with a view of the Lake sitting before us. Reham brought her friend also had a book. I would say I third wheeled, but technically we made the plans before thinking to invite someone else. So technically the friend third wheeled 😉 and the cutest part about this was when I pulled out a book called “The Sun and Her Flowers” by Rupi Kaur. Because I held the book in my hand and let pages flip one after another in my hands while looking away from it. The intention was to go to a random page and see what message it gave us. Reham then says “go to page 159” (such a random number). Because I have ADHD, I barely realized she said that before putting my hand down on a random page, stopping the pages from turning. I then looked down at the book and realized I accidentally landed on 159. Reham and I were excited as we felt like that was a sign. The page read the words “I will welcome a partner who is my equal.” I’m not sure what the universe was referring to. Her friends were there with her after all!

During the weekend, I got to see my friend Alejandra. She took me out to a fancy lounge in Plano Texas called Legacy Hall. It was top tier, they had outdoor seating, rooftops, and a club on the third floor. We each drank an aperol spritz and a tequila shot. My favorite part though was the food. I had a lobster ramen soup, which actually has a different name but I don’t remember it. However, it was so good and I’m still thinking about it days later. Afterwards, Alejandra treated me to a cotton candy flavored ice cream on a cone in exchange for the drinks I got us. It was such a fun night gossiping with one of my girls.
Lounge, fancy drinks, and bougie outfits.

Cute Books!
I am soon building a bookshelf, and to go along with it, I’m collecting cute books. I got new books such as “Powerless” by Lauren Roberts, “Beach Read” by Emily Henry, “Fairytale” by Stephen King, “The Housemaid” by Frieda McFadden, “A Day of Fallen Night” by Samantha Shannon, and “The Wren in The Holly Library” by K.A. Linde. For my bookshelf, I want to collect books with cool features on the sides (if y’know y’know). For most of the more plain looking books on my “to-read” list, I’ll download on my Kindle for free to save money. But I do want my bookshelf to look ethereal, so anything that has an epic cover to it, I’m putting it in the bag. Anyway, the book I’m currently reading since this shopping spree is Powerless. Expect a book review soon!
