My Experience W/ The Total Solar Eclipse

I live in the south of Texas (won’t specify where), and I got what I thought would be a decent view of the solar eclipse. However, the clouds covered it the entire time. It would have been cool to see the flames circling the moon with my eclipse glasses on, but the experience was still incredible.

Leading up the eclipse, there was lots of road and foot traffic outside because so many people traveled to my area from all around the world for the solar eclipse… just for it to be covered by the clouds lol. I felt lots of anxiety and emotions, I don’t know if that was because of the people surrounding me or if the eclipse was bringing it out of me. I was with my dad, and prior to those five to ten minutes of the eclipse, I read that the zodiacs were going to be affected by the solar eclipse in different ways. I’m a Capricorn, and I read that Capricorns were going to feel more drawn to their family, which was exactly how I felt. It was a wake-up call that I needed to be more present with them more often.

I went to an outdoor bar with my dad, where there was live music, children playing basketball, and dogs running around. The environment was lively of friends and families. It was super cool when “night time” rolled around, because it felt like there was a connection between everyone. It was bizarre to experience what felt like night time at 1:30pm. Once the moon was done passing the sun, and the light shone through the clouds, it actually felt like morning and a new day. The psychological effect that it has on the brain is a one-of-a-kind experience.

I know the next solar eclipse in my area isn’t for another few hundred years, but there’s supposed to be another one in 24 years in other countries. I clearly don’t know the exact details, but eventually I’d like to learn them so that I can travel to experience the next solar eclipse in hopes of it not being covered by the clouds. If it is covered, it will still be worth the money because it’s A. a cool experience and B. an excuse to vacay in another country.
